How does Vintage connector get your personal information?

The data comes from you, when you create an account, visit the website or buy/sell something, you give us your data. 

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information about website visitors under the age of 16. Unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years of age. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent the collection of information about children without parental consent. How do we deal with the data of shop owners?

We treat data from our shop owners just as carefully as we treat data from our customers. That’s why this privacy policy also applies to our shop owners.

When you sell through our platform as a private sales partner, we store your store name (this can be your name or alias of your choice) and the description you give to your store, in addition to the contact information you enter in your sales account (your name, your home address, your phone number and your bank account number).

When you sell through our platform as a business sales partner, we also store your KVK number and your VAT number in addition to the contact information you enter into your sales account (the name of your company, the name of your company’s contact person, email address, your contact address (and any other addresses), payment information and your phone number).

For both parties, we will retain the sales history for as long as the account is active on the website.

Data to prevent fraud

No one is waiting for security incidents and fraud, nor are we. That’s why we use personal information (including IP addresses and search, browsing, and buying habits) to investigate, prevent and combat unauthorized access and fraud.

If there is evidence of fraud, we will retain certain information related to that fraud. We do this for 1 year after we have discovered this fraud. Upon discovery of fraud, the account will be terminated.

How long we retain personal information

Vintage Connector does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. We will remove the personal data as soon as they are no longer necessary for the above purposes. In any case, we will adhere to the following retention periods:

Account data:
We will delete your personal data a maximum of 2 years after the deletion of your account. If you no longer use your account, we will delete your data a maximum of 2 years after the last use. We will send you an email that is known to us in the system to ask you if you want to keep your account.

Tax Office:
VintageConnector is obliged to keep the data in our financial administration for 7 years.

Sharing personal data with third parties.

Vintage Connector will share your personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement and to comply with any legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we enter into a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Vintage Connector remains responsible for these processing operations. Also, Vintage Connector will provide your personal data to other third parties. We will only do this with your explicit consent.

To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask that you enclose a copy of your proof of identity (or driver’s license) with the request. In this copy, make your passport photo, MRZ (machine profit zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy.
